Cyberia Spring Cleaning - 2025

Come join for a fun day of improvement of our shared space!
Now that spring has sprung, let's do some spring cleaning, and clean out all that winter schmutz.

Plans

  • Plan to arrive before noon, if you can

  • Bring snacks or food to share

  • Wear comfy clothes to do some moving and sweating in

(if anyone has a grill, we could do a cookout if you bring it)

Cleaning supplies & equipment needed:

Think of anything we'll need for cleaning day
If you know we have something on this list already, please mark it complete, and add the location it can be found.

  • Wet/Dry vacuum

  • Dusters

  • Mop

  • Broom & Dust pan - next to server rack

  • Vacuum - next to server rack

  • Window cleaner sauce

  • Squeegee

  • Microfiber cloths

Cleaning Tasks:

Put anything you want to call out to clean here, so we remember.

  • Dust ledges and surfaces

  • Sweep floors

  • Clean fridge

  • Clean microwave

  • Wash out recycling and trash bins

  • Organize and downsize e-waste. Sort into keep, donate, recycle bins

  • Organize back shelves. Inventory equipment model and serial #s and post to wiki.

  • Cable manage rack and mount new equipment

Equipment Wishlist:

Anything you'd like to see added to the space that we don't currently have.

  • Sound deadening

  • New drapes for front windows

  • Light diffuser panels for upper front windows to reduce glare.

  • Far-UVC disinfecting lights on upper walls

  • New filters for corsi-rosenthol box
