🌻Cyberia HqLocal Area Network

This is with a separate at-the-wall modem that converts fiber optic to ethernet. It's picky about which device it will allow to connect so here's what I had to do.

  • its WAN port MAC address (in this case 0C:83:CC:DD:54:8A)

  • its VLAN info (in this case Tagged201)

on the new router

these are the steps to follow on a GL-iNet GL-AXT1800

  1. on the Internet page, in the Ethernet (WAN) section, click "Modify"

    • set protocol to DHCP

    • set VLAN ID to the number

    • Apply

  2. click the gear icon in the top right corner of that section (with the tooltip "Port Management")

    • set MAC Mode to "Clone"

    • set MAC Address to the old router's MAC address

    • Apply

and it should work!
