### What is PeerTube?

[[https://joinpeertube.org/ | PeerTube]] is a distributed video hosting network with peer-to-peer video playback and federation between instances.

### Where is it hosted?

Our instance is hosted on an old desktop computer located at [[cyberia_hq/faq | Layer Zero]]. Transcodes may be slow but otherwise it's plenty powerful for us.

### Can I make an account?

Sure! At the time of writing, registration is open. To limit abuse, accounts are limited to 5GB of uploads, but we can make an exception if needed; just email [[mailto:ops@cyberia.club]].

The live streaming feature is turned off. You may want to use [[services/stream | owncast]] for that!
